Ex-Navy SEAL, Brody Rockland retired from the military with a war related injury, but not wanting his talents wasted joined the US Marshals Service. While in Washington Rockland had a run in with the Russian Mob. He was sent to New Orleans to avoid the Russians, find the judge, and to test his metal for working on his own.

Rockland, single, handsome, and rich with skills for making things right, found himself among people as foreign to him as the Afghans he had lived with and fought beside or against, depending on who was in charge on any particular day. 

Rockland soon realized that he needed to fall back on his military training to carry him through the rough spots including the women in his life, in particular a lovely Cajun deputy sheriff whom he developed feelings for.

Of course, there is more at stake than just the ladies. There is crime to solve, a judge to rescue, and evil people to deal with including the Russian mob.
